Introducing the T33285 Premium No. 7 Jointer Plane
The T33285 Premium No. 7 Jointer Plane is designed for flattening and straightening wood surfaces manually. It is particularly useful for achieving a precise joint between boards before gluing.
The No. 7 jointer plane has been a standard tool in woodworker kits since the early 19th century. In the Stanley numbering system, jointer planes are the longest planes available.
Measuring 22" in length and 2-3/8" in width, the No. 7 is efficient in smoothing and leveling large surfaces, thanks to its extended sole, which increases surface contact and results in a flatter overall surface.
Constructed with cast-iron bodies featuring precision-ground soles and sides, these planes are sturdy and provide flat surfaces for accurate planing.
Equipped with an adjuster for blade depth, the jointer plane allows for precise adjustments, enabling a virtually "zero" mouth opening for fine shavings on challenging wood types. It also features a lever for side-to-side blade adjustment to achieve consistent, full-width shavings.
The high carbon steel blade is hardened and tempered to 60-62 Rockwell C, with a precision ground thickness of 3mm. The cap iron's single-piece design ensures rigid clamping.
Notable features include stainless steel frog locating pins and screws, a shaped, sanded, and sealed hardwood knob and handle, and a polished brass lever cap, screws, and adjusting wheel.
The T33285 is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, providing a reliable hand tool for optimal results in woodworking.
Operating within precision tolerances facilitates the creation of perfect edge joints. The T33285 comes with a 1-year warranty, covering parts and ensuring freedom from factory defects, as with all Grizzly planes.
