Equipped with a 2 HP 3-phase motor utilizing a VFD inverter for operation on single-phase 220V power, this lathe delivers the added torque required for turning hard woods at exceptionally low speeds. The VFD not only enhances motor efficiency but also reduces electricity consumption, leading to cost savings. Moreover, it minimizes wear and tear on the motor, thereby extending the overall lifespan of the lathe.
The headstock effortlessly slides along the precision-ground cast-iron bed and can be securely locked on the tailstock side for outboard turning of larger pieces. For even greater flexibility, consider the optional T28372 Bed and Tool Post Extension, providing an impressive 28" swing over the bed extension. Alternatively, mount the extension at the lathe bed's end for a total of 47" between centers.
