Equipped with a substantial 23-3/8" swing, 5" spindle travel, and a robust two-horsepower motor, the G0779 23-3/8" Heavy-Duty Floor Model Gearhead Drill is engineered to handle a diverse range of metal drilling tasks.
Designed for superior performance, geared drill presses excel in drilling larger holes, thanks to precision spindle bearings and tight tolerances.
An added advantage lies in the user-friendly quick-change gearbox controls, facilitating easy adjustment of spindle speed. With a simple twist of a lever or two, choose from six spindle speeds ranging between 90–1970 RPM.
The geared head is equipped with a forward/reverse switch and an R-8 spindle taper. Offering a 90° tilt to the left and right and a vertical travel of 10-1/2", this machine features both coarse downfeed lever and fine downfeed handwheel for enhanced accuracy.
The 19-5/8" x 18" table, with a 60° tilt to the left and right and a vertical travel of 24-3/8", provides exceptional versatility. Both the head and table, mounted on independent rack-and-pinions, ensure precise positioning. Four 1/2" T-slots on the table and two on the base enhance usability. The table swivels 360° around its center, while both table and head swivel 360° around the column.
