Create pilot holes and tapered countersinks for screws. Opt for wood countersinks coated with titanium nitride for precise screw installation results.
A countersink initiates a pilot hole and forms a conical hole, allowing the head of a screw, bolt, or fastener to be flush with or below the material surface when fully tightened.
This set includes six bits made of HSS (high-speed steel), known for toughness, wear resistance, and high hardness. Heat treatment ensures the HSS maintains a sharp edge longer than other carbon steels.
The titanium nitride coating enhances the bits' ability to withstand higher temperatures, reduces breakage risk, and increases overall durability compared to uncoated drill bits.
Conveniently housed in a plastic case for storage and protection.
