A Wood Cutting Gauge is a Marking Gauge designed with a blade instead of a pin to slice through wood fibers rather than tear them. Made from solid Beech hardwood, with inset brass wear plates, and a thumbscrew lock. Ideal for cutting thin strips of veneer for marquetry or cutting small rabbets. The cutter head is locked in place by a solid brass wedge so it's easy to remove for sharpening.
